LSC 2009/002 – Antique Dutch Safe from 1870 Back to Overview

Decorative Antique Safe - Crafted in 1870 by J. Uyen – in The Netherlands.

This small beauty is hand-made, having been constructed from iron and steel. Without any doubt this masterpiece is a very rare piece of art from the late 1800s.

All parts are original, as well as the two Brahma keys. The locking mechanism, with its beautiful and heavy overlying threefold latching system, protects important valuables inside from burglars. From the outside, the beautiful design impresses all who see it, and is certainly a show-piece to respect and adorn.

As you can see in the illustration, this luxury antique safe is highly decorative and beautiful, with both the interior and exterior. The uniquely shaped baroque decorations also give the safe golden accents of colour. The lock and latch systems are original and are brightly polished. So too are the two beautiful lion’s feet of the safe – extraordinary – unique – and very decorative.
